Her technique of focusing on the first five pages of novels did two things -- it gave me ideas for how to improve this critical gateway into my book, and it gave me a new lens for looking at my overall story and theme. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing from University of San Francisco. She has taught writing classes at Books Inc. and Book Passage and a Professor at Stanford University’s Online Writer’s Studio.
